Joanne Vallve has been involved in Psychotherapy and Counselling since 2005 when she started her studies at the Churchill Clinic.

Joanne strongly believes that a containing therapeutic relationship underpins all successful therapy.

Joanne practices in a psychoanalytic way and believes that the client is the central locus of change.

By exploring the relationship’s the client has with themselves and others, change can occur.

Joanne has experience and an interest in dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss and managing changes in life circumstances that can potentially be de-stabilising.

Joanne has extensive experience in working with different types of clients from her experience nursing over the last 25 years.

Joanne has a solid educational background gaining a Bachelor of Nursing and Post Graduate Diplomas in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Counselling, Research and Evaluation and Mental Health respectively.

Joanne is a member of PACAWA (Psychotherapists and Counsellors Association of WA) #403 and AHRPA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority).  She regularly attends Professional Development sessions to ensure her knowledge remains current.

Joanne is committed to ongoing education and continual improvement of her understanding of the human condition and believes this focus makes her able to deliver the best possible therapy to her clients.
