"A path to personal awareness and emotional health"
"The most intense conflicts, if overcome, leave behind a sense of security and calm that is not easily disturbed."
C.G. Jung

Tamara Cohen has been in practice since 1999 as a counsellor, group facilitator, celebrant and trainer.  Prior to the Lindsay Centre she practiced privately and at the Churchill Clinic in Claremont.

Tamara assists clients with a variety of issues such as grief and loss, relationship counselling, anxiety, depression, addiction and sexuality, with a unique focus for each client.

As well as individual counselling, Tamara facilitates grief education groups and forums for professionals on a variety of topics.  These include workshops for medical professionals working with grief, support group coordinators, funeral home staff and the facilitation of debriefing sessions.

Tamara is available for facilitating a group discussion about related topics and is also able to create seminars to suit the client’s requirements.

As a result of her work Tamara has been a guest speaker for numerous events including the opening of the hospice at Osborne Park Hospital, Women in Funerals Conference, and the opening of the Butterfly Garden at Karrakatta Cemetery.

Tamara has an undergraduate degree in psychology completed at Edith Cowan University, which included a minor in religious studies, an area that has enabled her to explore spiritual concepts.  Her interest in spirituality and humanity was what led her to preside as a celebrant over funerals and marriages.

Having also undergone many hours of psychotherapy, Tamara believes an understanding of oneself helps to understand others.
